Seasons of Change

Every year June comes faithfully, and with it warmth, green grass and all things lovely ,happy, and friendly. It is literally a breath of fresh air after an all-too-long unfriendly winter.

Ah. Summer. Then August brings the fires of who knows where and heat that matches it, and somehow, God starts to excite my soul with the advancing seasons of fall and winter.

How wonderful it is that He gives us change. A life without change would be so predictable, so monotonous, would it not? Generally speaking, change is not a happy word in my vocabulary. But He reminds me that it can be a beautiful thing. Moving on from fall I’m ready for snow and from winter I’m ready for spring. Changes can be exciting. And yet in the change, there is consistency and structure. For…..“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22

The Master Artist is preparing his palette of colors. Switching from pastels to red, orange and yellow. How exciting to watch Him paint the trees, the hills and the sunsets. Adding a bite to the air that after a month of breathing in the smoke from the fires, is like fresh oxygen to your soul. Let’s praise the Maker, designer of this beautiful earth, for He is the One who holds the seasons of not just the world, but our lives as well.

Psalms 118:24This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Blessing my friends!
