I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4
"Life's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." A saying that many people know, or even something like "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Meaning, be ready for what life throws at you and make the best out of the circumstances given, even when they're completely unexpected. Sometimes that's easier said than done right? Sometimes life gives you a box of chocolates... but they're full of old lemons and you have no juicer.
When circumstances are out of your control, often times, the tendency is to lash out, but what if God is doing something in the pain, in the storm... are you trusting Him enough to let Him do it, even if it doesn't make sense to you?
I think of Moses in Exodus when he was leading the people out of Egypt and he reached the Red sea. There were no boats, nor bridges, no way across, and a lot of scared people. It was a dangerous situation, but Moses trusted that God would do something and as the story goes, He did.
Sometimes God brings us to hard times so He can get us out.....not because He wants us to suffer but He wants us to lean on Him, submit to Him, and that's the only way he can get our attention. Are we trusting the Lord enough to seek the his council, in order to do the right thing and let God take care of the rest?
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. Psalm 28:7
I hope this week is encouraging and it brings countless opportunities to glorify the most high God.
