Do you ever suddenly have a moment where you carrying along and suddenly you catch yourself, maybe say or do something that is totally out of line?

That sort of thing can be scary, but at the same time, a check-in can be a very healthy thing to do. It can help shed light on darkness that maybe we haven’t addressed or strengthen our resolve to resist sin. When you’re at that point where you realize you’ve messed up, it can be easy to let yourself wallow or to become discouraged.

But we must always remember the following: God offers forgiveness.

1 John 1.9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

I think we all know when we have sinned, its pretty obvious. In those times where you catch yourself, pray to God. Remember that you are only confession and repentance away from forgiveness and restoration. You are loved by God who gave up his Son to die for pay the debt of your sins so that you could be forgiven.

Remember what Jesus says to Nicodemus in John 3:16. “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

If you’re struggling with something today, remember God’s love isn’t dependent on our performance. He loves you no matter what and is always willing to forgive you and take your back with open arms.

Turn back and run to him.

Love you guys! Andy
